What does the word Acatery mean?
Short answer: larder or pantry.
Long answer: The word 'acatery' dates back to the 14th century. It first was foodstuffs purchased for storage and later (by about 400 years, give or take) came to refer to the room in which they were stored. It doesn't appear in modern usage, but this is where the word 'caterer' comes from. To answer another question I know is coming, acatery is pronounced in the same fashion as 'caterer'.
Not that this makes any sense as a name for a website, I know. Its selection was an in-joke based upon the fact that I am a huge English geek with a fondness for puns. That's really as good as this answer gets -- I've tried to figure out how to explain it, but it's just too convoluted and too much of an in-joke to be enjoyable. Instead, I suggest you savor the mystery.
